Concordia College Alabama

Enterprise State Community College

Vital statistics: Enterprise State Community College was established in 1963 as one of the twelve state junior colleges. On September 25, 1965, the college registered the first freshman class of 256 students. In 1983 the college started offering credit courses and non-credit short courses at the Fort Rucker site. Today the campus has grown and now features 7 modern buildings on a beautiful landscaped site. The college is also now a part of the top 120 community college in the nation.

Faulkner University

Vital statistics: Faulker University was first started by Dr. Rex Turner, Dr. Leonard Johnson and Joe Greer as a Bible college. It initially provided preacher training and education based on the scriptures. Through the years the school grew and evolved. In 1953 it was renamed Alabama Christian College and once again renamed in 1985 as Faulker University in honor of Dr. James Faulkner. Today, the university is home to five colleges including the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law. The campus also grew and now includes new buildings, new dorm rooms and apartments, student multiplex, several sports complexes. The university is proud of it’s continuing role as a dynamic part of the community.
